Vaporesso XROS 5 Pod Vape Kit

The XROS 5 is a refillable pod vape kit with a 1500mAh battery, a 0.88 inch colour screen and 3A charging that Vaporesso rate at 80 percent in 20 minutes. It fires on the button or on inhale, and a toggle on the back sets the airflow from a tight mouth to lung draw through to restricted lung.

The UK kit ships with two COREX 3.0 pods, a 0.6 ohm fitted and a 0.8 ohm spare, both 2ml and TPD compliant.

It sits in Vaporesso's XROS line, and the XROS 5 release date was April 2025.

The XROS 5 Mini has the same battery and pods but no screen, no button and no power modes.

The XROS 5 comes in fourteen colours, and every one has the same battery, screen and pods. The Leather Edition adds four more finishes.

1500mAh Battery and 3A Charging

Twenty minutes on charge takes the XROS 5 to 80 percent at 5V/3A. That is Vaporesso's own lab figure, and it is the number that matters when the battery is flat and you are about to head out.

Vaporesso publish no time for a full charge. The cable is in the box, and the screen shows a charging animation with the current level.

How long 1500mAh lasts between charges comes down to how you vape. Vaporesso put it at up to five days, but PWR mode empties it far quicker than ECO, and somebody on twenty puffs a day will get a different answer from somebody on two hundred.

What Does NOR Mean on the XROS 5?

NOR is Normal, the middle of the three power modes. PWR is Power and ECO is the economy setting, and all three work on every XROS pod except the 0.4 ohm.

To adjust the power mode on the XROS 5:

1. Click the power button three times inside two seconds.
2. Click again to move between PWR, NOR and ECO.
3. Wait three seconds and the mode saves.

With a 0.4 ohm pod fitted, the same three clicks open wattage instead, and each further click steps it between 15W and 30W in 0.5W steps. Neither pod in the UK box is a 0.4 ohm, so wattage adjustment needs one bought separately. Vaporesso do not publish the wattage each mode uses.

How Do I Lock the Vaporesso XROS 5?

The lock sits in the settings menu, four clicks away:

1. Click the power button four times inside two seconds.
2. Click to move to SCREEN LOCK.
3. Press and hold for two seconds to lock.

Four clicks unlock it again, and the five-click power switch still works while it is locked. The same menu holds BUTTON ON/OFF, which turns off button firing so the kit fires on inhale alone, along with the puff counter reset and the animation setting.

Which Pods Fit the XROS 5?

Every XROS pod is compatible with the XROS 5, and the same pods fit the newer XROS 6. The two in the box are COREX 3.0, Vaporesso's current mesh, and they fill from the top: snap the mouthpiece off, fill through the hole and press it back on.

Spares come as XROS COREX 3.0 pods in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 ohm. The 1.0 and 1.2 give the tightest mouth to lung draw, and the 0.4 is the only one that opens up wattage adjustment.

Nic salts at 10mg or 20mg suit the 0.6 and 0.8 ohm pods, and the XROS e-liquid guide goes through strengths and VG ratios.

How to Use the Vaporesso XROS 5

Five minutes of priming on a fresh pod is the step that matters most.

1. Pull the pod out and peel the sticker off a new one.
2. Snap the mouthpiece off, fill through the hole and press the mouthpiece firmly back.
3. Seat the pod and leave it five minutes for the coil to take up e-liquid.
4. Click the power button five times inside two seconds to switch on.
5. Set the airflow toggle on the back.
6. Press the button or just inhale.

If the screen shows CHECK ATOMIZER, the pod is not reading, so reseat it or try a fresh one. SHORT ATOMIZER means a short or a resistance too low, OVER HEAT and BATTERY LOW stop the kit until it cools or charges, and OVER TIME means a draw went past eight seconds.
