Vaporesso GTX One Pro Vape Kit

The Vaporesso GTX One Pro is a 40W tank mod kit for mouth to lung and restricted direct lung vaping. It pairs a 3000mAh battery and a 0.87 inch OLED screen with the XTank T, a top fill, top airflow tank on GTX mesh coils.

It is the Pro version of the GTX One, and Vaporesso say the bigger battery gives 50% more battery life, up to three days on a charge.

Two GTX mesh coils come in the box, a 0.6 ohm fitted for a looser draw and a 1.2 ohm for a tight one, so one kit covers nic salt and 50/50. It is one of the tank kits in the Vaporesso range, next to the Armour and Luxe kits.

3000mAh Battery

The battery is 3000mAh, up from 2000mAh on the GTX One, which Vaporesso put at 50% more battery life and up to three days from one charge. How long it lasts depends on the coil: a 1.2 ohm at 8 to 12W draws far less power than a 0.4 ohm at 30W. It charges at 5V/2A over USB-C, and the screen shows the charge time left.

XTank T: Top Fill and Top Airflow

The XTank T fills from the top. Unscrew the cap, fill through the hole and screw it back on. Air comes in at the top as well, through a ring you turn to set the draw, with a scale so you can find the same setting again. Vaporesso pair both with their SSS leak-resistant design and call the result double top, triple leakproof.

Pulse and Eco Modes

Pulse holds a constant voltage, and Vaporesso say it keeps the flavour consistent from the first puff to the last. Eco is plain constant wattage, and the battery lasts longer on it than on Pulse.

Turn SMART on in the menu and the kit suggests the wattage for the GTX coil fitted, and watt lock stops the wattage changing in a pocket.

GTX One Pro vs GTX One

The Pro keeps the GTX One's 40W and GTX coils, and changes the battery, the screen and the tank.

Vaporesso added a lock button on the Pro. It also comes with two drip tips and a silicone base for grip, and both kits take the same GTX coils.

Vaporesso GTX One Pro Coils

The GTX One Pro takes Vaporesso GTX coils. Vaporesso list four mesh resistances for it, with these wattages:

The 0.6 ohm gives a looser restricted lung draw and the 1.2 ohm a tight mouth to lung draw. Vaporesso list only these four resistances for the GTX One Pro, so the low resistance GTX coils made for bigger kits are not for this one.

To change a coil, unscrew the base of the tank, pull the old coil out, push the new one in and screw the base back. Let a new coil soak for five minutes after filling.

On the 1.2 and 0.8 ohm coils, nic salt vape juice at 10mg or 20mg suits the tight draw.

On the 0.6 and 0.4 ohm, 50/50 e-liquid at a lower strength is the usual choice.

Vaporesso GTX One Pro Tank

The tank is the XTank T, and it is also sold on its own as the Vaporesso XTank T if you need a replacement. A spare glass tube comes in the kit.

The GTX One Pro is 510 threaded, so most 510 mouth to lung tanks fit it too, as long as the coils sit inside 5 to 40W. The mod is 23.2mm wide, so a tank of 23mm or less sits flush.

How to Use the Vaporesso GTX One Pro

Fill the tank, wait five minutes, then set the wattage for the coil. The full steps for using the GTX One Pro are:

1. Charge it over USB-C.
2. Unscrew the top cap of the XTank T, fill through the hole and screw the cap back on.
3. Wait five minutes so the e-liquid soaks into the coil.
4. Press the power button five times within two seconds to switch on.
5. Set the wattage with the up and down buttons: 20 to 26W on the 0.6 ohm coil, 8 to 12W on the 1.2 ohm.
6. Turn the airflow ring on top of the tank to open or close the draw.
7. Hold the power button to vape.

Press the power button three times for the menu: Pulse or Eco, watt lock, SMART on or off, and a five day puff counter. Slide the lock button to lock the kit, and slide it back to unlock.
