Vaporesso Armour G / GS Replacement Pods

This is the pod, or the tank as a lot of people call it, for the Armour G and the Armour GS. The same pod fits both kits. The pods come empty, so you fit a GTX coil yourself and only the coil gets replaced after that.

Two replacement pods come per pack, with no coils in the box. Which coil to put in it depends on which of the two Armour pods you pick.

Both of the Armour G and GS pods fill from the top through a silicone plug, clip on magnetically, and the coil pushes into the base rather than screwing in. Everything else in the Armour range is listed separately.

MTL or DTL: Which to Pick

The two versions differ in how much air they let through the mouthpiece, and that decides which coils suit them.

The MTL version has the tighter airway, for a cigarette-style draw on nicotine salts with the higher-resistance coils.

The DTL version opens it up for a lung draw on shortfill vape juice with the low-resistance coils. Both take the same kits, so the choice is about how you vape rather than which vape you own.

Which GTX Coils Go With the Armour GS & G Pods

Vaporesso split the coil range by pod. The wattages below are their published figures, both the range and the one they mark as best.

The 0.15, 0.2 and 0.3 ohm also come as dual mesh. GTX coils are sold five to a pack, so a pack of coils outlasts a pack of pods several times over.

The 0.6 ohm is the crossover coil and goes in either pod. In the DTL pod it gives the tightest lung draw in the range, and in the MTL pod the loosest cigarette-style one.

The 0.4 ohm is the next one down and worth a note if you cross-check it. Vaporesso's coil page keeps it to the DTL pod, while their own Armour G manual also lists it for the MTL.

Does This Tank Fit the Armour G and the Armour GS?

Yes, both, and nothing else. Vaporesso list the Armour G and Armour GS tanks as fitting the Armour G and Armour GS only. It is not a pod compatible with the Armour Ultra or the Armour OCTA, which use a tank and GTi coils instead.

The pod seat and the pod body are identical across the two kits, so a pack bought for one drops onto the other. The difference between those two kits is the battery: the Armour G has one built in, the Armour GS takes a removable 18650.

Filling It, and Changing the Coil

The Armour G and GS replacement pod fills from the top and the GTX coil pushes into the base, so neither job needs a tool. Vaporesso's own instructions for each:

Filling the pod

1. Pull the silicone plug out of the top.
2. Fill through the hole.
3. Press the plug back in.
4. Wait five minutes for the e-liquid to soak into the coil before vaping it.

Changing the GTX coil

1. Take the pod off the kit. The e-liquid can stay in the pod while you do it.
2. Pull the used coil out of the base. Nothing screws in.
3. Push the new coil in until it seats.
